: Fuel Cooler Too Cool?

Someone told me that a problem with these Duramaxes is that there isn't enough return fuel back to the tank to heat the fuel to help not gel. I was crawling around under mine and got to looking at the fuel cooler in front of the tank. What would it hurt to block it off with a piece of steel or flashing and some handy dandy duct tape or something. I'm sure that a -20* windchill blowing into that doesn't help matters any when it comes to keepin the fuel flowing. I wonder if it would help keep the fuel temp up in the tank therefor taking longer for it to cool to the point of gelling farther down the line.

I am not sure that it would hurt as long as you don't forget to remove it when it got above 32F. But I'd go with a piece of cardboard and duck tape, just cheaper and easier to fab.

I think that blocking the cooler would definately help you. Let us know if it helps.
