This is my first post, but I have been relying on info found here for months. I was going to change my front disc pads this weekend, everything went well till I tried to take off the rotors. I could not remove the two 13/16" bolts that attach to the caliper mounting bracket. I did not have a breaker bar or any air tools, just ratchet drives. I broke two 3/8" drives before I gave up and put everything back together. My question is are these bolts threadlocked? Should I attempt to use a breaker bar to remove them and if so should I reapply threadlock? BTW I do have a 1/2" drive but no sockets, just bought an adapter so I can use my 3/8" sockets. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Yes, they have threadlock on them. I get them loose using a large wrench and plastic deadblow hammer. The torque for those bolts is 221 lb ft.

Thanks for the quick reply GMCSID, Do you reapply threadlock when you reinstall?
