It got down to a chilly 36* this morning (yea, yea, I know). So I started the Dmax this morning and started backing up to find no steering and no brakes! Censored

Call the Cheby House and told them to kick open the doors, I was on the way. Most of the trip is strait with only 2 corners, and I have lots of experience of driving using only the Emergency Brake. No problem here. Quickly review the threads here and check the PS pulley and it seemed tight. Off I go with a buddy riding behind for a lift after the drop off. Total trip to Cheby House is 4 miles. Less than 1/2 mile into the trip, everything starts working normal!

Drop it off with the comment, Replace the boost pump or get ready for a lawsuit if it goes out while I or my wife is driving and we plow into someone.

Jeez, this is demoralizing!

BTW, I did remove the Edge before dropping it off. Don't tempt fate!

You'll get a lot more done with honey.
Rather than a knife at the guys throat.

I would be most unhappy if it happened to mine.

Let us know what you find out.

Some dealers don't deserve any nice comments. Hope it gets fixed right mate.

Just got a call. They are going to replace the PS pump for low pressure. They did the tail gate hangers, and replace the steering shaft. After that they will address the Transmission that popped out of gear when things were wet on Monday.

BTW Letsgo, maybe the harshness of reading the post was more than I was in person, but I left them with the understanding that just because the truck was not in failure mode at the moment I dropped it off, that I was not going to accept it back until they could prove that they fixed the issue. I think my exact comment went "I dont think this place could afford the lawsuit if you didn't fix something and it goes out and it caues a wreck" they agreed.

Give em hell....I tried being nice with the tech reps and got no where. I asked
one of them for their address so I could come to their house and replace the oil in their car with deisel fuel....if it was Ok for my vehicle it should be ok for theirs. Nice gets you nothing.
