Figured Id throw what I learned to all of you. And you can make your own decision.
My truck is currently In the shop for a new set of injectors. 151,000 and I couldnt take the smoke, horrible idle, horrible sounds etc. While doing the injectors I told them to check my valve lash while they are in their(ie valve covers are off why the heck not)
They mechanic came back and said they were actually a bit on the loose side(to his surprise) and adjusted them. Friday they finished injectors started the truck, and both the Mechanic, and the Service Manager, were ASTONISHED at how well the truck sounded and ran, even with new injectors.
SO if your truck is in the shop for injectors, you might as well just have them check and adjust the valve lash.
Passin it on.
