I dont know if its the cold, but when im running about 50 to 60 MPH and lay into it to blow smoke it is normal, then big Vibration under the truck. No idea what it is. My rear end is not hot or even warm when i stop and my trannny temp is normal. It got worse when i had an aluminum trailer with a snowmobile on it. Its about A degree here :rolleyes:, Anyone had something like this?

I had this exact problem, was U joints- I had to learn the hard way, it cracked the tail on my tranny, drained all the fluid on the driveway and cost me $1,400 bucks- my 2 cents....good luck :)

Only 24K miles, so warentee would take care of it i guess, but they probably will make a big deal about it, they really suck on getting stuff done to my truck, my dealer sucks. maybe ill take it to a good one that i know people at. Thanks.

So i went under the truck and moved the drive shaft around and the u joints seemed fine, but the whole trans moved side to side on the rubber mount it sits on. is it supposed to move like that? or is it supposed to me tied down and not move?

that thing shouldn't move for you inless your He-Man tough. you may have popped through that rubber in the mount, wont ever let go just make alot of racket...your covertor isn't slipping is it?

1/4 max movement. rubber mounts are to absorb vibrations and keep metal from wearing on metal. there should only be a slight movement available when you force the tranny from side to side or up and down....

mount could be worn.... never heard of that but it is a possibility.

Yeah idk, ill have to take it in then. It moved maybe an inch, maybe more not completly sure. But my vibration went away???
