Need more fuel. Any feedback regarding transfer flow or super tank would be appreciated. Replacing existing fuel tank. Thanks. This is my first post, hope I got this right. . .

I had the Supertank installed in my '03 Chevy ext. cab short box last summer. I have not had any problems...........it holds 57 gallons and I enjoy the extended range. I think that it is a good product and reasonably priced.

Supertanks for older (LB7) models are on sale for $500... they have a large overstock and are trying to get rid of them. Had mine installed a few weeks ago. Had my first experience with a big-nozzle fueling at a truck stop... put in FIFTY gallons... MUCH faster than regular pump, even at the LOWEST setting. Belched out some fuel at the very end (I'll me more careful next time when getting close to full).

My tank is 65 gallons (shortbed, crewcab). The Supertank is a replacement tank, so you get to keep your bed space (not so with Transferflow-- they mount in the bed). The tank does hang down an inch or so below the frame of my truck, but what little offroad driving I do is not in extremely rough terrain, so this should not be an issue. Fuel guage in truck works just like before, except now... "Full" means 65 gallons, "Half" means 32 gallons...etc.

The old tank was 26 gallons, but when towing I'd like to refill when down to 6 gallons, meaning I could run on 20 gallons before refill (i.e. 250 miles, or about 4 hours). NOW... My tank holds 65 gallons, so if I again refill when down to 6 gallons, I can now run on TRIPLE-- about 60 gallons before refill (i.e. 750 miles, or about 12 hours)... TOWING!!! Yeah, we take stops like everyone else, but I'd MUCH rather stop at a Rest Area than be forced to refuel all the time. Sometimes the gas stations are pretty tight... But even so, NOW I'll be stopping at truck stops, where there's always MEGA room...

Had a look at the tank before my mechanic installed it... Looks very high quality. I'm very pleased with everything...

I have a TransferFlow on my '02 CC SB and it is a midship replacement tank (no, it doesn't take up any bed space as stated above). It is one of the best made (steel) replacement tanks that I have ever used. This tank also works with the factory fuel cooler in the stock location as well as with Nick's filter kit. I also installed the TransferFlow fast fill neck with my new tank.

All in all, an excellent product--well designed and well built.

Also went with TF 45 gallon replacement tank & fast fill plus Nick Filter. Looked at Super Tank and choose not too remove the factory fuel cooler. Did not want to upset the GM gods any further.
