I was looking for a performance upgrade and ran across this web site. Are the HP numbers correct? What about the quality of this product.

I ran the Duramaximizer and Programmer in my LB7. The maximizer was alright, but the programmer made a HUGE difference, the only downfall is that its only programmable for your truck only, so if you trade the truck in, you have to let the programmer go w/ it.......I ran a 14:2@93mph in the 1/4 w/ both chips w/ a limited differential rear end, so I literally had to ease into the throttle on the launch..I could have ran 13's all day long w/ a locking differential and who knows how much more w/ a better tranny or upgrade...BTW, I still have the Duramaximizer if someone wants to buy it..

Well welcome to the site..........:)

The PPE stuff rates the flywheel HP/TQ which is somewhat of a different approach than the other mfgs. use.

I am sure some of the DODE guys will chime in.

What about the D-max. I know I have a Dodge but if it is a good or bad product for the D-max I am sure it will be the same for the Cummins.
Yes, I would like to here from the Dodge guys also.

Well you posted in the wrong forum to get info from the d**ge guys, also what is good for the Dmax and then the "other diesel" trucks is different. I think that you will find out that PPE has some ok stuff and I think you would be better to find other products to run and not waste your time.. I think that is enough said about that subject, more popcorn anyone?

Michael,

Haven't you heard the silver cummins that beat you last year is now just a tow vehicle. It will be towing a custom painted SILVER 02 2500HD 4x4 CC SB D/A. The custom painted tailgate consists of the silver duramax pulling a certain red duramax all over god's green earth. In typical duramax fashion I am running several boxes. Edge Juice, duramaximizer, Bully Dog, Quad Stealth, Hypertech, TS performance, PPE, Superchips, Van Aaken, Dr. Peformance, TST, and lets not forget some custom Steve Cole programming. With the combination of all these boxes my new toy should be well over 1000hp with stock turbo, stock injector NOZZLES. SEE YA IN THE SPRING.

I have not been on the Dyno yet, as long as the weather hold I will share whatever the numbers are on January 15th.

Jim659 and Blue Ox03 will be there to roll as well........at the RI dyno day.

It should be interesting to compare the stacks to the tune......

Keep your eyes out for the info.

Thanks for asking.

Well you and your boy uncle ben come on here to harass the duramax guys. Thats cool and all but it gets old. Its not even worth my time to go back through the old threads and dig up old bones....most of the regulars here know what was said. You have done nothing but basically say the duramax sucks in short. Now you want advice from a duramax dominated board....you have got to be kidding me right? I have owned and driven and most importantly PULLED a cummins powered truck....actually more than one...to include the 12v and the new common rail. I think that the cummins is on top right now....with the duramax close behind. I like and respect all of the diesel pickups including the fords that we like to pick on! They know its just in fun and pick back in a joking manner...its all in fun for most of us with a respect for others opinions...most importantly the respect is mutual. Most of the guys that drive other brands come on this board looking for info and to share in the commradery and experince of driving diesel pickups...Hoot(now in the dodge camp) an dockboy( a ford man) come to mind....although there are for sure others that I am leaving out. Always offering their well respected opinion( weather we disagree or not...they are always respected). If you were honestly looking for info.....I hope you find your answer. I just sense the same old malicious intent. I come to the dieselplace for civil discussion....with our current moderators and members it will be that way for a long time to come.

dpower & Mike L.

I think you may have silver03 wrong. I went back and read some of his posts. I seems to me that Uncle Ben's, Dura What, and Ultra Man are the ones giving you guys a hard time. Yes, silver03 has said some things but IMO only when he has been provoked. Tomac and Silver03 have a friendly competition here in michigan as the top two trucks in the street class. I think silver03 is just looking for a way to raise his rpm's like you d/a guys can. I can't wait to watch these guys pull this year. I should be good with Tomac getting bigger injectors, and a huge single to go along with it.

PEACE

Well said Digger thanks for backing me up. I was just looking for advice from a duramax board because this product has been used buy the D-max guys and it is new to the Dodge world. I do not start brand wars unless provoked because I also respect all of the diesel pickups. Sorry for wasting anyone’s time.
