: LMM Guage Pods from Diesel Manor
Bodis22 01-17-2008, 11:33 PM I have read that Diesel Manor is the place to get pods and guages for the LMM. I ordered mine on the 8th and they shipped out on the 17th. Scheduled for delivery on the 24th. Just letting you all know how slow they are. That is too F in long.
CHV_FRK 01-18-2008, 08:55 AM I'm in the same boat..... I ordered a while ago, I got the manufacturer shipped parts quickly while the gauges and pods were waiting on my fumoto valve.
Sticking up for them a little bit, it's a bad time of the year. They are doing their inventory, vacations, and other delays carry over from their suppliers.
I have heard nothing but good things about them. They people I've talked with there have been very informative and courteous. Let us all know how you feel about them when you get your stuff installed. BTW, how are you hooking up your EGT? I bought the BD Manifold.
TRMN8R 01-18-2008, 08:57 AM My only experience with them was: from order to receipt of shipment (NH to NY) in two days.............hey, they're dependent on their supply chain too..........in other words, their turnaround service is dependent on what it is upstream..........did you call them to find out the story? I'm certain they would have given you an answer.............
camcojb 01-18-2008, 10:48 AM mine was here in 5 days, and I'm on the opposite side of the U.S. My guess is they were out of stock when you initially ordered, and shipped when they arrived.

huthuthut 01-18-2008, 12:20 PM I recently have been in contact with a gentleman from Diesel Manor concerning the new LMM single guage pod that goes on the steering column. Not only was he rude in the emails, but they now supposedly have the part "in stock", but he will not go to the warehouse to open one up and take a picture of it to place on the website or email to me. Why should I purchase a product if I cant even see a picture? Every other item on their site has a picture, if its really in stock like they say and not dropshipped like 99% of the companies out there, then you think he would try to please the customers and take a simple photo.
Oh well, he confirmed its an overlay just like the last series and not a complete replacement - Im sure it will be another HORRIBLE fit just like the last trucks - I wouldnt waste my time.
mreeves23 01-18-2008, 07:52 PM I just ordered a dual gauge pillar pod from Diesel Manor for an LMM on Thursday, Jan 10 at about 10am. I received the item on Monday, Jan 14 about 10am. They were great to me. I called them to make sure they were in stock before ordering and then just ordered over the phone with the same guy. He told me then that I would have it on Monday and I did. NH to IN in 2 business days is pretty good in my opinion. It take me about 10 phone calls to finally get ahold of someone though. Other than that I have no complaints with them.
Huthuthut, I'm not sure on the single pods, but the dual pod was a complete replacement a-pillar and not an "overlay". Just wanted to let you know.
Bodis22 01-19-2008, 02:41 AM The guy was rude in the reply email and told me not to respond to him if I was going to complain more and told me I had been w/o guages for this long and it is not a necessary item. I gave him a spill about tuners and the need to monitor more power, therefore it would be necessary and said if they weren't necessary he would not sell any. I told him cussing wouldn't help me get my product any sooner so I would hold my tounge. It pissed me off a little, but o well what can u do. I thought maybe rush shipment or overnight it would have been nice.

Wow.... thats pretty lame
seabee1 01-19-2008, 06:56 AM I have ordered a few items from them and it was not a problem. They responed professionally to e-mails, shipped on time and even gave me a 10% discount for being in the military. I plan on using them again in the future.

TRMN8R 01-19-2008, 08:05 AM Geez, reading these additional posts............my interaction with them was completely different...............oh well.............
trackvs2wheels 01-20-2008, 02:08 PM It is dieselmanor.com correct? I have been trying to go there today(Sunday) to order a gauge pod and I can't get to their site...maybe I am retarted????
Buckeye 06DMax 01-20-2008, 02:13 PM Site works for me, try again...
trackvs2wheels 01-20-2008, 02:27 PM Works now for me too...don't know what it was.
From the website it does not look like they make gauges for a 2007 Chevy "Classic" that would fit in the area below the radio...above the cup holders. I have the bucket seats and thought it would be cool if I could mount the gauges there...anyone know where I could find a gauge pod for this area of the 2007 Chevy's???
Thanks!!
Kidder 01-25-2008, 07:44 PM Anyone have install pics for these? I'm interested in the 2-gauge.

I don't know... If I ever got treatment like that from a business before even buying from them, I would not even consider giving them any of my money. That's simply inexcusable
mreeves23 01-26-2008, 06:05 PM Anyone have install pics for these? I'm interested in the 2-gauge.
Here's a couple pics of the dual guage pod that I installed in a 2008 LMM:

Thanks.
Does that have the tweeter cutout?
Hammer 4 01-26-2008, 07:32 PM Although I don't have a 07, I ordered ISSPRO gauges, a tap, paint, and something else, forgot what it was, David told me that he had to ship it ground cuz of the paint, I got everything 4 days later. I might mention that I asked a few questions, which were answered Politely, and he took as much time as I needed to get everything sorted out. I do not hesitate to recomend Dieselmanor to anyone..:D
MMLMM 01-26-2008, 07:52 PM Check with Alligator performance (Vendor), He may have some LMM pods, thats where I got mine.
Mine is the 2 gauge with tweeter cutout.
What are you guys doing to get them to match. Any paint or dyes that work well.
huthuthut 01-26-2008, 07:58 PM Ugh... I was going to order from them against my better judgement today, and Im getting an error whenever I try to add something to the shopping cart!
I wonder if Alligator Performance, or anyone else for that matter has the single gauge pod that is steering column mount for the LMM?

I'm not sure if autometer makes this single gauge mount yet for the LMM. At least I didn't see it in my new '08 Autometer catalog. If I come across one, I will let you know.
Bodis22 01-29-2008, 12:49 AM well i am the originator of this post and to let you guys know I got my guages and pod on the 25th. I ordered them on the 8th. Only 14 days, thats normal NOT. Hope it is all correct, they are at home and wife says it appears ok.
mreeves23 01-29-2008, 12:52 AM Here are few more pics of the LMM gauge pod I installed on an '08.

Was this on our site?
I wonder if Alligator Performance, or anyone else for that matter has the single gauge pod that is steering column mount for the LMM?
And to answer the second statement, we only have Double and Triple pillar pods for the LMM right now.
huthuthut 01-29-2008, 02:16 AM No it was on diesel manors. Alligator get in some single steering column LMM! several people want them - diesel manor has them in stock so they are availible.

Yes, It has a screw in the upper portion of the pillar to hold it in place. It attaches where the factory screw does. The factory a-pillar has a screw under the small pop up cover near the top.
fire0021 01-29-2008, 03:04 AM ahh so they didnt take the extra time to make it with tht cover bummer
huthuthut 01-29-2008, 09:30 AM lame
mreeves23 01-29-2008, 11:00 AM ahh so they didnt take the extra time to make it with tht cover bummer
Yes, it is a bummer. That would have been a very nice extra step. However they didn't do it.
Huthuthut, I just looked again Autometer's new '08 catalog does not have a single gauge pod for the steering column for an LMM listed. They have one but it is for the 01-07s only. Let me know if you find a part # for one and I will check on it.

Ok, and I am checking into the column mounts right now.
huthuthut 01-29-2008, 02:36 PM You guys a little slow? Some places already have it in stock.
Autometer AM-15023
ebolavirs 01-29-2008, 06:27 PM Having come from ferd land, the ferd guys over at dieselstop think dieselmanor is all the rage and the manor guys commonly post over there. Maybe they just dont like the gm folks, I noticed they are not a vendor here or post.
huthuthut 01-29-2008, 07:28 PM ? I thought Diesel Manor was a vendor here? I have noticed they dont post though. Did they pull their vendor status?

Autometer AM-15023
Thanks for that part number. I will call and check on it tomorrow and let you know what I find out.
CHV_FRK 01-30-2008, 01:49 PM I too wish autometer had recessed the screw. Has anyone tried to cover their pillar with a matching fabric yet?
fire0021 01-30-2008, 09:06 PM in the process right now im making a screw cover and basicly making it just like the factory one so far looks good once its covered i will post some pics i also have the factory paint color im going to try as welll
huthuthut 01-30-2008, 10:22 PM Nice Tommy.
NelsonDiesel 02-10-2008, 02:46 PM are these gauge pods slip overs or are they replacements?
huthuthut 02-10-2008, 03:38 PM I think they are a lame cover still :(
I ordered mine from Diesel Manor 2 weeks ago. I was told it was in stock. I received a call after a week about how they are on backorder and "their shipment didnt arrive". Right.
Still havent seen anything. Ill post up pics when I get it - hopefully the next couple days.
NelsonDiesel 02-10-2008, 04:21 PM I have a gauge pillar i was installing. kit came from diesel manor.... I couldn't figure out how to mount it up. Directions that came with the gauges were for a classic or older.... I was installing on an 08. Pillar wouldn't line up worth crap and i continued following the directions till i said screw it and ditched the stock pillar... Whaddya know - fits perfect. So these are a replacement to the factory pillar. Well at least this one was.
Just so you know if you order from dieselmanor - their instructions say they include connectors and what not - nope, nothing included. So if you do the install plan on coming up with your own.
huthuthut 02-10-2008, 04:41 PM Whoops - I was thinking you were referring to the Steering column single gauge mount.
From what Ive heard - the 2 and 3 gauge A Pillar housings are replacements on the LMMs.

makes sense - maybe some updated instructions should come too. :D
Bodis22 02-10-2008, 07:30 PM Yes, very irritating about the instructions. I called and asked how to fit it over the stock pillar and of course then I was told the instructions were not updated. Oh and by the way ordered a 40 lb boost guage and recieved a 30. Imagine that. The tech on the phone told me that I would not max out the 30 and guess what, its easy under 3/4 throttle. I am sorry, they have good stuff, but they absolutely sucked for me. Took forever to get and get wrong stuff......just straight pisses you off. The guy was pretty cool on the phone though. send back get refund and call a vendor that atleast post here. Instead of arguing what your truck does or dont do he should have been thinking about making it right. Your money, yuo asked for a 40 they try to tell you that you dont need it, I say to hell with them, they are far from the point of assitance, tell them they can have there shit back your going with another vendor that will care about you.
Bodis22 02-11-2008, 01:34 AM After waiting that long for my stuff, I installed it. He told me once installed can't return. Live and learn I guess. I will probably just pay another 50 bucks and buy another boost guage somewhere else.
How u like the Dune Grapplers. I love mine for looks and hook up well, but I am thinking 12-15K miles is all I will get. I almost went with Rockstars as well, but wanted a black/silver combo since truck is white.
