Why isnt there a cargo light to light up the beds of our trucks? that would be that great!

To keep the bottom line low and maximize shareholder's value. Same reason they got rid of the underhood light, cabin air filters, footwell lighting, etc. If GM didn't, then we'd have nothing to complain about and there'd be no incentive to create better solutions to fix such shortcomings.

Great idea for a factory bed light. There's some aftermarket options (ie: Recon) though.

My 03 has one....:D

Both my 07.5's have 'em. It's the two clears in the CHMSL. You do have to turn the dimmer all the way up, past dome, to turn 'em on, though.

The 07 and 08s have them they are just only on when the interior lights are on.... stupid idea.

My 04 has one with it's own little switch.:cool:
My 02 had an underhood light and one in the glovebox too.;)
The 04 has neither the hood nor glovebox lights even though it cost 10K more than the 02!:eek:.
Every year GM seems to try to give less product for more $$$!:mad:
