I ordered my tranny on Monday and got it today, boy that was fast:D ,gonna do the install on Saturday:ro) :ro) . Should I pay special attention to anything,I'm very mechanically inclined just never done an Ally before? Anything else I should change or check with the tranny swap? What type of ATF is recommended?

Please clarify for me.

- A Suncoast III is an upgraded stock Allison package for increasing horsepower levels to the 500+ HP level. This kit contains a SC triple disc torque converter, Transgo shift kit, boost modifier valve, C-1, C-2, C-3, and C-4 power packs and filters, etc.

- A Suncoast IV is a Suncoast-installed SC III with a few minor mods.

So where does the Suncoast V come in? How does it physically differ from the SC IV besides an ability to hold an unquantified level of horsepower? Is it intended as a "competition use" transmission?

The only down side is it makes the juice seem like a POS...

Congrats...feel the power...

Prophet,

Sun Coast is currently in a change mode on classifications. As soon as I find a few more hours in the day we will be posting photos and contents.

Stage III no changes
Stage IV will be in kit form (full blown, all out) lots of new stuff
Stage V (what you have) Trans assembly. Stage IV in complete trans form.
This will be the only level offered in a complete assy ( cost will be less than V in past. Uses: drags on Fri, Sled pulls on Sat, Church on sunday, work on Monday,

Thanks,
Smoop

Would a Lvl 3 be more than safely able to hold up to 520hp reliably? I would eventually have a 3 or something in my LLY after the power mods come into play.

And of course we will promise on a stack of bibles never to exceed 520 hp.):h I have been around too long to believe you guys; you are too much like me.):h This year is going to bring out some real a$$ kicking products for the Duramax. Don't suppose you guys are interested, are you?):h Don't want to break your words , do you?:D
