When I turn on the defrost, only the passenger side mirror heat works. The driver's side does not work. Any idea what could cause this?

Mine is doing this as well, my wwarranty just went out 2000 miles ago. Is there an easy fix?

I had the same thing happen with mine. There was a hairline crack that ran through the mirror. Once it was cracked it never worked, I had it replaced under warranty with no questions asked.

I checked it out tonight and came to the conclusion that there is power to it, so the mirror is bad:mad: . I went to try and figure out how to get the darn thing of and cracked itCensored, so now I have to get a new one for sure:rolleyes: .

If your dealer is reputable at all he'll do what he can to help you on this one. Serriously bring it in and at least give the service writer your sob story. You'd be surprised how many will help you out, especially if you regularly have used them for parts or service.

The factory mirrors with heat are crap. Both sides on my truck were replaced twice under warranty, and the last ones they put on are gone again. I've replaced one on my wife's Avalanche as well.

If its out of your pocket look at aftermarket mirrors like TTT's.
