2001- close to 200k - acted like it ran out of fuel, have checked for air in fuel and filter is fresh, no codes. It is one of our delevery trucks and we need it bad and stealer can't get to it till tomorrow.

Hey there Geno!!,

did you try to prime it and see if fuel comes out the bleed screw?? Might be injectors, high pressure fuel pump, ect.... Make sure the stealer doesn't push it around the parking lot before they work on the truck, might put it over the 200k and then your screwed on getting new injectors!!!

Sorry I couldn't be more help, kinda hard diagnosing when you don't have the truck in front of you. See ya, Wade

Electrical problems possibly...bad computer? It seems strange it would start back up and run fine and die without warning.

Mt thoughts exactly as the engine has had multiple repairs to it where all the connections have been apart. 2 sets injectors, pump, wrecked twice new front ends both times. But the tech is kinda one way so I am keeping my 2 cents to my self. Will let all know when the problem is found if the tow bills don't eat us up.

There worst kind of people to deal with are ones who think they know it all and will not listen to anybody.....even when they can't figure it out!! Good luck to you and let us know the outcome...I will be interested.

If it's not kicking up a storm knocking and coughing just before it dies, it is fuel delivery. That splits into two areas. Mechanical and electrical. Check fuel rail pressure w/tech, if OK probably not mechanical. Check that the injectors are getting a signal. Check em at the injector, not the w/tech.

Can't believe this. Got the truck back with new set of fuel lines from tank to engine. First trip out--- you guessed it---- another wreck, This truck has had one hell of a life as this is the third time. Did not go far enough to see if it was going to be ok. In the body shop for another front end and some under carrage repair. Lucky if they don't total it. Hope not cause I will never know if the fuel lines were the problem.
