So I picked up my new '05 LLY duramax. Time for some mods. I'm doing basic chip/intake/exhaust type stuff and tow regularly. I don't wanna go overboard, but just bump it up a little. I have a connection to get an absolutely screaming deal on anything Bully Dog. (Think manufacturers cost, then trading labor for it)Any thoughts? Pros/cons?
I'm thinking the triple dog outlook combo, 4" exhaust system, their intake/filter system, and their shift enhancer.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks, John

mine was ok but there was alot of timing rattle.
stay away from their shift enhancer, i've heard nothing but problems and complaints about them. as for their exhaust if you can get it that cheap do it. their intake kits are pretty basic so can't really lose there.

So I'm researching (reading as fast as I can, hahaha) It sounds to me like there are 2 different levels of the Transgo kits. One is drop the pan, the other is disassemble the trans. For what I'm gonna do with it, is the lesser kit enough? This is a 34k mile truck.

you would prob wanna do the full kit but that means dropping the tranny and pulling it apart some

i would for sure get the triple dog if your going to get a bully dog chip the i would get the afe stage two intake instead of the bullydog intake it has the best performance and it makes the turbo sounds awesome through the exhaust.

Look in to the PMT, you can shift on the fly and the display is very nice. It's nice having all the gauges on the display and be able to choose what parameters you want to monitor. When updates come out you can just download on-line and load them in to your PMT.
Good Luck!
