heard max on the lbz turbo is around 32psi, but i can hit 40 with the ppe 425 tune. is this ok for the short time that it hits that pressure?

I heard that you shouldn't take the stock turbo over like 33 or it could bark, posible to bend shaft that way, never had mine over 30.

From what I have gathered in the fuel, air section, once you go past 32 psi with a stock charger on an LBZ the drive pressure starts to increase very rapidly causing extra heat and negating any performance gains from the increased boost pressure. So you can run 40psi but the extra boost is a waste of wear and tear on the turbo and it will blow up far more quickly.

You spike 40 PSI correct? Meaning that you don't hold 40PSI all the time.....I wouldn't worry too much about spiking as long as you aren't getting a bunch of turbo barking.

With my Banks, according to the PDA the max boost is 35. Have never seen anything higher than that. Hopefully this will not cause issues, do not wanna buy a turbo, seems I have heard others running higher than that with no problems, but no sure.

yeah it spikes but i can make it hang there for about 2 seconds.

Where are you pulling our reading from? Intake side of turbo or post?

FYI the 425 tune is slower than the 350 tune if your not useing a Dual CP3 kit.
