Just had XM satellitte installed in the D-Max. X-mas present from in-laws. Now my horn does not work when I hit the remote to lock the doors. I can hear the relay clicking but still no horn, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I would check the DIC to see if the driver preferences have been changed.

What is a DIC? And how do I check it? Thanks.

It is where the odometer is. If you have steering wheel controls you can use them to change your settings.

Sorry I still don't understand. I do not have steering wheel controls. How do I get the horn to work? Thanks for the help, I know these are stupid questions.

No DIC on the '02's just take a look through the owners manual it will tell you how to activate the horn with remote lock/unlock
DIC is on the '03 on Its the information under the speedo that tells you MPG etc etc.

Just a thought, the horn will also not sound if one of the doors is not fully closed.

Does your horn work when your press the horn pad? Probably a blow fuse or the horns are shot (happens quite often)

Sorry haven't been on site in a few days, back ortho surgery. Anyways, the fuses are good on the horn. I have even tried "blowing?" the horn from steering wheel ..nothing. I guess I will check the horn itself tomorrow when I feel better. Thanks.

Dumd question of the day..where are the actual horns located on a 2002 2500HD? Does anyone have a wiring schematic of the horn? I hear the relay clicking so something might be disconnected or busted. Went wheeling a few weeks ago with a friend, maybe that screwed things up. Thanks.

need to confirm this, but thought they were on each side low, around the bottom of the radiator, not sure though
