My tranny is leaking from what appears to be the shifter input for the trans. I am wondering if there is a seal that can be replaced or is it a bigger job than that? Do you have to replace the whole black plastic piece as well? I was just under the truck tonight and noticed this so I hope to get the parts needed soon to fix this.
Is this a difficult task to do?

After some closer inspection the fluid is coming from behind the NSBU.
I am assuming that there is a gasket or seal of some sort behind this. Is there any tricks that I should know about before tackling this?

Got it fixed it was the seal behind the nsbu into the tranny that was leaking. It appears that it might have been because of the ammount of dirt and mud that can collect behind the nsbu.
Anyway pretty easy job to do.
