okay im pretty sure i have bad head gaskets or injector cups. i am looking to my brothers for HELP!!! so every time i start my truck cold after sitting over night or extended periods i start to get a rough idle like a lopey idle then i start to puff white smoke at idle this all happens about 15 seconds after i start it. then i go to drive away and i pour white smoke pretty good out the pipe for about 2 miles then it goes away and doesnt come back. i am losing coolant about a quart a week, but my oil is not going up and doesnt smell like fuel. also noticed that in the morning my upper radiator hose is rock rard with pressure and when i take my expansion tank cap off it lets pressue out, after sitting over night. wierd thing is my gas mileage is going up, go figure.

I would do a tear down and replace the head gaskets.

Mine did the same thing. Diagnosed with 3 of 8 injectors bad.

Jason86,

Take it for a short ride after it has sat all night...pull over and shut down. Slowly open the coolant reservoir...if you get a huge hissing sound...probably your headgaskets. Mine acted the very same way when my headgasket went....but I noticed coolant reservoir was always low besides the smoke first thing.

When my injects went...she smoked anytime decelerating and at a stop. It never went away like the headgasket...once the motor warmed up.

Good Luck,

Wayne
