First of all,all I ordered was the Standard. It was a little tricky downloading at first but works about like Hypertech's programmer. No big deal.Went immediately to 160 tune and was happy not to feel any hard shifts.Power was OK but nothing killer. Then I couldn't resist 225,again shifts were very good. Power still wasn't what I was imagining that it was gonna be.Soo,I called Dan.He told me to put in the blocker plate.I couldn't get the Damn bolts off, mainly because I've got my right arm bandaged up, those are VERY tight.Any ideas would be nice.Anyway,we hooked the horse trailer up the next morning and took off to Minnesota, dropped tuning down to level 2.Tow tune.Pulled real well and shifted flawlessly.I really do miss the easy touch of the Evo though.Evo programming seems to come on a lot sooner. If thats possible? Fuel mileage wasn't what I would of liked but it is winter here and I wasn't waisting time ,roughly 75,Thats fast for me.Egt's stayed safe all day,950 to 1075.Hopefully getting the blocker plate in fuel mileage will go up and Egts will come down.Niether one was terrible but could be better I think.Feel free to comment.

Your truck might just need some time to adjust. I noticed a big difference on mine goin from level 2-4.

Thats weird. I can tell a big difference from the 160 tune to the 225 tune. I've never installed my blocker plate either.

OK,double rapped my arm, attacked the EGR bolts again and I beat the lil' bastards. The plates a bitch to get in too. But,it did make a difference,32# boost but still more smoke with EVO.:confuzeld

I thought with the PPE standard and up you could turn the EGR valve off with the tuner! So if you can,is the blocker plate needed only in high boost situations?

Yes it is, High boost will force open the EGR valve and dump the boost into the exhaust.

Seems the newer versions dont smoke as much as the older PPE tuners, they just get up and go faster! If yaant smoke lug it in 6th, but im not sure how much youll get on the lower tunes.

Just wondering does a blocker plate effect turbo whistle at all?

I get a little bit of smoke from my ppe on 225 not much but a little bit. Nothing like my
lb7 with a smoke tune though.

Rmember the LBZ is going to have higher FRP so the fuel is more atomized so the same fuel amount but with higher pressure = less smoke

When I still had my PPE the only change from stock it saw was the 350 tune  on a stock ally no less. And it definitely moved like a raped ape.
