What's the point of having a boost gauge? I'm thinking of getting trippin's overhead gauge mount for a pyro and don't know what to put in the second hole. A boost gauge makes sense but does it really tell you anything besides the fact that the turbo is working? Can you tell if something is wrong with your turbo from the gauge? Would it make more sense to have pre and post turbo pyros? I remember someone mentioning that you could better tell when the turbo cooled down with a post turbo pyro.

A boost gage tells how well the engine is working as well. It also can tell if there is a leak in the system which would cause it to lose efficency. I like to know where the peak of the boost is for pulling up grades to give me maximum cooling.

Thanks SD i hadn't thought about leaks in the system makes sense though.
Does anyone have any opinion on having a pre and post turbo pyro? Would it be useful or redundant?

I run both pre and post turbo EGT Gauges.... I usually use them to gauge shutdown temps for the turbo.
Very interesting to see the difference between the two when pulling at altitude.

Got Juice, If I were to put in a post turbo pyro what kind of temps should I be looking for before shutdown?
