I talked to someone @ banks engineering a while back, and in our conversation that day the Intercooler was mentioned, he was explaining and recomending this mod to increase air density and to get more HP gains. to make a long story short I'm thinking about installing one in my truck, what is your oppinion on this intercooler issue?? should I.

I owned diesels before but I never thought about doing this in the past.

I've datalogged air temps during many runs, and the stock intercooler appears to do a pretty good job. I get the temps dropping throughout a run, which is always a good thing.

It is cooler weather now so I'll see what happens when it warms up. I'm running a 500 rwhp tune presently for reference.

the stock intercooler has no problems...plenty of guys running 5-600 rear wheel hp on them. IMHO I think you are better off putting the $ towards a transmission or soemthing.

X2 the only benefit will be cooler EGT's, and even at that, with a stock turbo, 50-100F.

Get tuned, trannied, Twins, before Intercooler. Otherwise it is a waste of cashola.
