Does anyone know of a thread or post that i can refer too about a "pioneer AVIC D3 install cut sheet. I saw one for a d2 with pictures. I just really want to get as close as i can to help me install this D3.. Im really determined now because this afternoon i search the town looking for install prices. I visited 7 different car stereo shops, and man those guys are crazy.. One shop was charging me 700.00 dollars with all the adapters and parts. I kicked rocks quickly outta their. So long story short, as my search went on prices fluctuated, ranging from crazy $700.00 to the cheapest i found was 380.00 with parts. So go figure why im willing to DIY... So please ANYONE help?? I finished my install of the D3 about 3 weeks ago and I love it so far. I have an 06 but I used this thread to help me... http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3398&highlight=reverse+camera+silverado. I did the mod to mine to keep the kids quiet on long trips.
This thread shows you where to cut to make it fit. He says you have to cut to make it fit but I never tried to install it without cutting. There is alot of information on AVIC411 so they may be better to help you with any other questions.
