Currently the truck has chrome tubular steps that I would like to change to the single steps for both sides. The current tubular steps came with the truck when I purchased it new-:t . Installing the single step will require drilling different holes, is this OK? Any advice will be appreciated.

Where would you be drilling the holes?

The single steps look like they get drilled into the frame somewhere...I think??

I don't think drilling the frame would hurt.

BUT......

It is hard stuff. Plan on having at least two drill bits, and get cutting fluid. The cutting fliud may stain your drive way/garage floor, so keep that in mind. Don't over heat the drill bit. Once you do that, it won't hold a sharp edge.

I have got (4) Carr Super Hoop Steps on my crew cab. Easy installation. They bolt underneath the rocker panel, not the frame. You can check out their website @ www.carr.com/ (http://www.carr.com/)
