I having a very hard time choosing 33's or 35's inch tires. If i go with the 35's i will need to get a 4" lift (cognito). If i go with the 33's Im just going to get the leveling kit. I drive my truck daily, about 275-375 miles a week and its mostly street driving (65-70% street) for work. I do go to pismo a few times a year and i also go snowboarding maybe 4-7 times a year.
Pro's:
33's (295-70-17)
better 1/4mile time
Cheaper over all (tires, dont need a lift kit)
easier to put back to stock
better mpg35x12.5x17 with 4" lift:
off-road (pismo)
Better CV angle
Safe for boost launch
Looks cool (not to tall) Con's:
33's (295-70-17) with leveling kit
bad CV angle
not a good for boost launch
not safe for off-roading35x12.5x17 with 4" lift:
poor mpg
cutting subframe
about $100 extra per tires (toyo mt)
Slower 1/4 timesPretty much i want to know is if you can do it over what would you do and why? or what would you go with if you had the choice and why?
If you have picture of each setup please free free to post it.
Thanks Andrew

Dont' have to cut the subframe with the Cognito lift, just an ear off the differential and they make a replacement for that if you wanna go back to stock.
1/4 mile times? Seriously, buy a drag car.

I do have a drag car, its a '94 mazda rx7(low 12's) and a road racing civic with a full cage. I just love the look on peoples face when i rip on them with the truck.
here is some of the trucks that i really like.

if you take it offroad i would say go with the 35"s for that extra clearance because the tires are what give you that clearance not the lift that is why i stuck with a 6" lift and stuck 37"s under my truck i was getting hung up with the 35's and now i can go right thru the ruts with my 37's

Really, how much worse is the mpg with the 35's? If you correct for the dia change I can't imagine it being more than 1mpg.

This is a great poll fd380ps.
I don't think you will go wrong either way. I love the looks of ALL the above posted trucks.
I daily drive my truck for work, tow our 12k lb toy hauler once a month all over SoCal (Pismo included), sometimes have to park in parking garages and everything else. I wanted a custom look, larger tires, improved offoad capability, but something that was reliable and still reasonably easy to get around town. I also didn't want the dealer to hastle me if/when I take it in for work. So I chose the Cognito leveling kit. With everything I've got in it, it's merely hundreds of $ different in cost from the 4" kit, so that wasn't as much a factor for me.
I will say, that if I had a separate commuter car, AND could run a 4" kit just like Copter's with the 33's and NOT have to flip my axles on our trailer, then I would go the 4" lift route. The wife doesn't want the trailer any higher than it is right now.
To be brutally honest, I'd prefer the 4" look of Grizwald/Copter and would like to have it, but I'm pretty darn happy with how the leveling kit turned out.
Either way, good luck, and do post pics!

I really like the truck that is sitting on the H2's. What has been done to that one?

Check my garage for 4" w/ 35s. Thats naturally my choice. Did the same on my 08.
