I finally got the d-max out today and noticed that I am getting the white smoke everybody is talking about. I have not been to the dealer yet to get a re-flash. Does the flash sometimes cure that problem or is that usually injectors.

that depends, ar there any other symptoms and where are you located. Sometimes white smoke is attributed to low cetane levels in the fuel.
how often is the white smoke?
is the smoke thick, like choking someone behind you?
is there any noises that are noticeablem out of the ordinary?
are you using any additives?

My bone stock (performance wise) LLY rarely smokes in any color. However, it does smoke on start-up when it's very cold.
Not to hijack this thread, but I had to start my LLY at 2°F this weekend after sitting all night without being plugged in. (Not my first choice, but I had no other options.) It started just fine, but I did get a lot of white smoke the whole time I was letting it warm up with the auto high idle on. In fact, it about smoked out the entire neighborhood! I think this is completely normal when it's this cold, as I don't have this problem when it's warmer. Any opinions?
Same thing happens to my truck. It will smoke for a while until the temp rises then it goes away.

I'm not so sure about it being right. It may be 'normal' but it doesn't seem like a good thing. Maybe so, though. Unless you have any other problems I wouldn't sweat it, though. Mine does it occasionally, but I am a worry wart about things like that. Any time I see white smoke I feel like something is wrong. . . I guess I'll just have to get over it.

My '05 is the same way - I attribute it to minor amounts of unburned fuel when the engine is very cold and in a less efficient state.

All our vehicles toss out some white "smoke" when initially started on a cold morning. Worse in FL where the humidity is high and very little in NV where the air is generally bone dry. Mostly getting rid of some accumulated moisture in the exhaust system. Nothing to sweat.

sounds like the normal. aka108 brings an intresting point. The humidity here in KY is about 400% now. It was warm and very humid when I started it.
I wonder what the powerstroke guys talk about????

My 05 will puff out white smoke under heavier accelerations, like getting on the freeway or simply too feel the truck take off. I have almost 5K on my 05 now.
Other than that I'm not worried about it:ro)
