Hey guys i am new to the forum and have been looking into buying and edge juice with the attitude. I have an 03 c/c with the d/a. I have had the truck for a month now and it has 50k. My last truck was a 97 ford psd and i had a superchip programmer in that and had no problems with 180k. I am wondering if the edge is detectible by gm if you remove it and bring it in for service. I have an extended warranty to 100k for everything and i would not want to have to pay for a new trans. Also how does the edge work with the allison, has anyone had issues with that? I will be also putting on a 4" AFE turbo back system. Thanks

No the edge is not detecatble by GM if you remove it. Except for the pyrometer probe. Keep the edge under level 4 (90hp) and you shouldn't have to worry about the Allison. You have to remember you are starting at and adding a lot more power then your powerstroke.

Thanks for the info. I was happy with my 97's power but im not a fan of the new 6.0 and ford's interior. I love my new truck and the fact that i got 20mpg at 70mph for average on the way home from WI yesterday. I have a warm front for it and i was wondering if that helps mileage also. And how much mpg gain did you get with the edge? I was able to get 1-2 more on the ford with the superchip and another 1 when i added a k&n replacement filter. I can get the juice, attitude, and the 4" turbo back AFE exhaust for around $1100 new. Does that sound reasonable to you guys? Also i have heard that some chips will set an over boost code in the stock computer. Is this true or just something dealers are saying?
