what is the factory setting for boost mine can up to about 7 if i get on it from a stop but while cruising i have about .1 psi i thought my boost guage was off but then my scanner said the same thing so i was just wondering if this is normal

normal boost levels using factory contols, peaks to 7 then drops off to 2-4 for cruise boost; to get more you need fooling or a TM or both if wanting to make big boost

humm funny? I've got the stock setup for the wastegate actuator but it boosts about 5 psi
at 60mph.But in 3rd gear at 2500rpm's if you pin it i can get 15psi.

But it will not hold 15, just spike upto it, then slowly fall back down if you keep it pinned

guess i'm gonna have to save up for that ecm and a turbomaster or make one of those

yeah it's easy enough to make.

if you put a turbo master on does the ecm adjust fuel to a point as long as you keep the boost low enough or are you just running the engine lean?

I don't believe the stock ECM will operate the pump at 100% capacity. I think it will give you the fuel you ask for until the intake air temp goes high enough so that the ECM starts pulling the fuel off.

The ecm will adjust within parameters based on boost input. however, if you overboost on a stock ecm and set a code, it will limit boost and not adjust properly. IMHO, just get the chip or ecm, and it will raise boost to max. safe levels w/o a turbomaster. That was how mine worked after installing ecm. It will run at 13-14 psi all day w/ stock wastgate setup.
