I am wondering who has done the upgrade. It was reported to me that the fuel pump does not always get the proper voltage so an upgarde on the wiring to the pump was needed to assure the proper voltage. What improvements were noted and was it enough or did you just go with an aftermarket lift pump.

dmax's don't have an elec. fuel pump. The cp3 (injection pump) sucks it from the tank. aftermarket lift pumps like FASS, PPE, air dogg are good pumps for more flow.

My bad got my terminilogy mixed up. That is correct our being in the tank is not a lift pump but again I was informed that the voltage may vary thus giving a less than adequate performance.

voltage to what? The fuel pump is mechanically driven, not electric.
