I have an 01 LB7 w/ 185 k and here recently its idling to high, right about 900 rpms, and the wait to start light is staying on for any extended period of time before i fire it up. I live in East Texas so i dont think the cold weather would be a problem but cant think of anything else. Any Ideas????

Take it to autozone or a place that will download it for free and see if any codes come up. Maybe be something small MAF sensor needing cleaned or something little. You can still have Codes with no SES light illumination. Good luck and let us know if you have any codes.

codes would be a good start, also if any mods have been made start there, chip, intake, etc. the idle is computer controlled and the only input to rpm is the accelerator pedal, might be a problem the the app sensor.
Thats a tough one!?!?:banghead:

ok so i went by autozone and they scanned for codes...it come back with a p0700 which is my alli. nothing to do with my fuel system. So im wondering could that possible be linked with my idling problem. The only think i can think of that would have caused these problems would be me driving down a flooded street. nothing more than a foot deep.

There is a temp sensor that controls glow plug on time and injection at idle. if this sensor is wacky then it will cause long glow plug times and wierd ilde.

Also check for vaccuum leaks! You never know but that wacky sensor makes sense!
