I'm not feeling the wood grain in the new GMT900. What is out there to change it. I'm not looking to paint over it.

I have seen this but is this aftermarket?

Maybe it just clashes bad with the interior color -I really don't care for it either.

me neither just paint it. but the burl wood is a pita to paint i did my denali console and had to take that finish off of it first.

Woodgrain is horrible. Welcome to the 50s... I've seen pictures of carbon fiber looking kits that looked really sweet. Something darker and more present day would be a lot better than wood.

OK so no we all think the same, what is out there? I want to start doing this truck up and I can't deal with WOOD. That kit I posted. Is it OEM or aftermarket. I saw it on here but can't remember the members name. I know it's White with a CST lift on it. I think he was from AZ. ???

I just changed the wood kit out for the silver looking factory kit for a friend of mine and it looks WAY better. The wood looking kit will be for sale on E-bay soon.

I say just paint it to match the truck.

I like your thoughts ... I had one here and the 2 tone seats look great. To bad we can't get them in the HD:(

X2..........Yep they'll refinish your pieces in any finish that you like. Sorry guy's....but I'm ole' fashioned....just installed the "UPGRADE" brand Oxford burl (dark) kit from Exotic Wood Dash.com on my 07 Classic Dually (light gray interior) and think that it looks great but that's me.:cool:

one of my friends has his truck with brushed stainless, looks awesome and came from the dealer that way.

Where do you get the brushed stainless pieces from? I would like to loose the wood look also.

These kits from Dash Kit Specialties look interesting and not very expensive. I like the black carbon fiber or one of the brushed aluminum options.

This is the link I should have posted, replaces the OEM woodgrain dash inserts. How difficult is it to remove the wood and install the new panels?

I think you should just go to your local Bowtie dealer, and take yourself a gander around at all the newer model trucks, obviously that one is probably a bit higher optioned and got the hanous interior package, look for one of the cheaper trucks, hell maybe even butter some of the service guys up, and they'd trade it out for a minimal fee? Without you having to buy the new parts, I'm sure that wont be a problem for you, but whatever. Obviously the parts are out there, just a matter of finding them and installing them. I hate woodgrain as well, seems like FloridaDMax is off to a good start with those numbers tho
