Hey everyone, so has anyone had this problem before? One day just got in truck to go home from work and notice I was doing about 95 or so to keep up with the traffic (posted speed is 65). Looked across at the tach and it was about 2000 rpm (which for me is about 70-75 MPH). Stopped at a off ramp and noticed my speedometer was still showing 30-40 MPH. Pulled into market and shut it down. Restarted it and the needle jumped a little down to the 25 MPH mark while sitting in idle. Did it a few more times and got it down to 0 MPH. Then drove home, stopped and the gauge was at 35-40 MPH.

So, what do you think?

Think I'd hit up the dealers service dept. Probably some electronic problem that I'd know absolutely nothing about.

Just had mine reflashed for this, cleared it, worked for about 1/2 a day, then did it again. Was sticking @ 55, that sucked, was going to work @ 115. Took it in the next day, they cleared it and ordered me a new cluster. I had my edge on the first time it went bad, and was still getting a speed signal from the tranny on the edge, so we knew it was the cluster. Should be installed this week some time.

It's those $#@! hub-caps you installed.... the ones that keep turning after you stop.

Remove the stupid bling-bling things and all will be well

My 03 did the same thing. Dash cluster is on some national back order, so I was told. They pulled the dash and sent it in to be repaired. I have been with out a truck for a week.

So, this happened again in your new 05 as well?

No not the 05 yet, I still have the 03 for work, but it appears they are having issues with the speedo. Just picked it up to day. It has been fun driving the diesel for work all week

I see. I called, they said they "are having difficulty getting it from GM". I told them to call me when it shows up. :(

Went back to normal for a couple of days....then right back up to 40, 30, 20...up and down.

Starting to piss me off cuz my factory installed alarm had trouble when it rains sometimes.
