I like lights. Oh and the white painted mirrors are pretty snazzy imo also.

I would assume no since he mentioned a body guy.

They look great though. We will need installed photos.

did he paint the inner parts too that way when the are extended you dont see black? if so is there any problems with the paint chipping/scratching when pulling in and out? i was wondering about that

Nope its still black in there. I told him not to paint it because of that very reason. I will have pics of them on the truck hopefully early next week when I get my truck back.

Those are the leds I used. I took them apart to remove the lense from the black back. Then cut a square hole about 3/4" for the light to go thru and then sandwitched the black backing and the clear lense thru the hole. It was pretty easy.

They look great! I considered doing this to mine as well. But... if you don't have the extender part painted, I assume that you don't intend to pull them out. I understand that you wouldn't paint them for the sole fact they may chip. But if you do pull em out then...? I guess I'm just curious as what they look like pulled out.

there was another guy on here that had in inner part painted but i dont know how well its holding up... if its a tight fit like you would think it would be... then you would think it would chip off... i wanna paint my inner but it couldnt be put on very heavy at all.. mil thickness would be an issue sliding in/out...

Well, in my opinion not painting the inside isn't that big of a deal. You only really need to extend them when towing and I'm sure most of us don't tow a 40 ft. trailer every single day. You could always get them Gel Coated which is more durable, but also quite a bit thicker and it might mess up the tolerances as far the letting them mirrors extend. *shrug*

Not sure how close the tolerances are. Mine seem to vibrate out about 1/4 inch every couple days and I have to push them back in. Definately like the light idea though! There was another tread on this a while back only he used 3 small LED's. I think this would look better.
How about some pics/instructions??
