My supertank pulls vacuum while driving. When I stop to fill up and remove the cap it hisses for a second or two maybe 3.

Is this something I need to resolve?

Seems to me its not good.

You sure it is vacuum? A bit of pressure would hiss also. But I agree, it doesn't sound quite on the up and up.

PC,
Have you tried changing the fuel cap? The fuel cap is designed to vent both in and out. It will always vent in to prevent a vacuum and it has a pressure relief valve which vents out once a certain level of pressure is reached.

Ill buy a new one this week. Its strange that it started when I replaced the tank.
