My clutch safety switch bit the dust in October. I've had C & D jumped to start but haven't had any luck getting the cruise to work. I've jumped E & F with and without C & D connected. The Ignition 3 fuse is OK. What else could be wrong? I reconnected the connector once it was running and still no cruise. Not sure what else can be tested or if something else needs to be reset.

ok I found it...seems the ECM is too smart for your jumper. :(
If the ECM detects 7 changes in vehicle speed from 0 mph to above 24 mph and then back to 0 mph without the ECM detecting a clutch pedal transition, it sets code P0833. (this wont throw a check engine light tho, its not a 'critical' emmissions code)
When code P0833 is set, it disables cruise control.
I think the only real way to fix this is to replace the clutch pedal switch, unfortunatly...shoulda gotten an auto :D :joke:

I had the same exact problem!!! Been looking for the answer to this since April!!! Thanks a bunch!!! Don't try Napa...I went there looking for one and they said the only CLUTCH saftey switch they have is for an AUTOMATIC?? Never figured that one out.
If I wire in a momentary switch into the C&D pins and hit it a couple times I should be OK for now. I've got a long trip next week and need something quick. Plus I don't mind "hitting" it!!!!
