: Trucks!
jholly 01-01-2005, 02:49 PM Watched Trucks! this morning. Finally a new show:) Stacey was showcasing a bunch of Bully Dog products on a 2004 dually. Really neat paint job on the truck. Worth a peek just for the paint job on the truck. Spike TV, it was on 10:30 on the left this morning on Dish Network. It generally repeats on Sunday morning.

moss022 01-01-2005, 03:03 PM i was just going to comment on that show too! it made me want to go and get that bully dog Shift Enhancer, if it can hold another 150hp. just kidding. why didnt he pull that semi on pavement so we really could of seen that frontend folding in!!
RCROWE 01-01-2005, 04:31 PM Did you see the water bladder product that added bed weight for traction? I think I may order one. Looks better than heavy solid stuff rolling around.

Yeah, that was neat also. Some of the guys in the snow belt that put weight in the back might like it. Only problem I saw is that it will be a pain taking out until the water melts.

redneck45 01-01-2005, 06:17 PM Watched it this afternoon, wonder if he knows the air filter kit really does not do much? And I would have liked to see him remove the cat, install a blocker plate and a fingers stick! LOL!
briano 01-01-2005, 07:32 PM dang, thought I was the only one that saw that show today.. he pulled 130,000lbs with that thing...sheesh!!! I wish he had dyno'd it before and after, I would liked to have seen the numbers.
GTA23109a 01-01-2005, 09:51 PM I like how they conviently went to commercial while he installed the EGT probe. That would have been the only useful piece of tech in the whole segment, not to mention pretty comical to watch. ):h
dozerboy 01-01-2005, 11:35 PM i missed the last part of the show except for the truck being hooked to a big rig with what looked to be a d8 on it witch aint that big of deal at work we push out trucks stuck in the mud and going up hill that are fully loaded with a 70 hp little tractor it not easy but it will get it done i think guys at this site have pulled up wards of 30k in there dmaxes
Yeah, that was a good episode. Finally new. Really nice truck too. It was funny seeing him install the shift enhancer kit when people on this board have said it's nothing but junk):h GTA, he did do an intall of the EGT install last season on a duramax with an edge/***. It went pretty smooth on tv (of corse), but that pesky inner fender was already off. That's probably the hardest part.
Jumper357 01-02-2005, 12:33 AM He did not say anything about the trans having to go through a learning period!
GTA23109a 01-02-2005, 01:55 AM My buddies and I always joke about those shows . . . seems like if you run to the bathroom, by the time you're back they've already built a motor or installed a lift kit . . . . I just feel bad for the guys who don't know much about cars and get their junk tore all apart in the driveway, thinking their installs will go just like on tv.
earthcrusher 01-02-2005, 01:56 AM
aka108 01-02-2005, 09:06 AM That whole show and others like it are a commercial advertisement with commercial advertisements contained within meant to sell a bunch of expensive cr-p of highly questionable value. Whole show is totally unrealistic. Ever see any grease, dirt or anything else on the shop floor, tools or hands of the actor? Better entertainment than any of the sit-coms airing today however.
Bronco 01-02-2005, 02:05 PM What a joke! " I encourage you to go home and pull 130,000 lbs." Stacey David.
Try that on dry pavement through all 5 gears. Wonder what part of that truck would litterally grenade first?
That new show 4x4 exteme was cheesy as well. That little hottie telling me what macho ment, really made me want to go work on my truck. NOT.
Fingers 01-02-2005, 07:24 PM 130,000 wheeled load on the flat isn't that impressive. Now pull that little fella up a hill, THAT would impress me.

And for shCensored ts and giggles how about a look at EGT's?
Nothing like watching molten aluminum come out the exhaust!):h
