sure is nice.

I just finished having my Ally rebuilt yesterday...finally. I went with Suncoast clutches, transgo, and the TTS triple disc converter. The work was done at SRA Performance Transmissions in Portsmouth, RI by Owner Buddy Souza. This is a very experienced transmission shop, and Buddy knows his trannys. This was the first performance Alli he's done, so I put him in touch with MikeL for some trade secrets. As always Mike was happy to share, I know that's a big shocker :D Too bad more people in this world aren't like Mike.

I still have dropped the hammer and really flogged it, the roads and nasty right now. I have run it around slow and steady through the throttle and I can really feel a huge difference. I'll keep you guys posted, but the results are pretty predicable. I'll also be pulling my new trailer next weekend, so I'll see how it does there too.

I figured my clutches were burnt and they were. The C4s were the worst, C2s and C3s were toasty too. It didn't help that the bleed holes were at the bottom instead of the top. The converter was shot, no surprise there. The fluid in it came out black.

I got a freaked out last night when I heard a rubbing sound coming from front of the tranny area. I switched the cross-member to DMJ one and we did some changes to my exhaust out back, so at times the cross-member would rub the exhaust hanger. Too many changes at once I guess, It's all good now though. I just though I'd throw that out there in case any of you are contemplating the DJM cross-member.

Take care,

Ox
