I own a 2003 Duramax with a Banks exhaust. With the motor cold the brake is activated and air is escaping where the exhaust pipe connects to the down pipe along side of the engine block. I just had a Suncoast 3 and TTS triple installed and wonder if the pipe got loosend or is this the way it is supposed to be .Seems wrong to me but I am still a little new to diesels and all the goodies I am putting on.
Thanks for any info guys
it is easy to retighten, just dont over do it. mine has not worked loose in 2 years, yours was probably dropped for the tranny work.

If you don't have them I would also use the stainless band clamps instead of the regular clamps they provide. Better seal and looks alot better.

Boy that sounds familiar....
I had Banks install my brake and monster exhaust.
After 2 years I had people telling me they heard a "hissing" sound coming from under the truck. I took a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe and located the leak at the clamp area.
I thought it was just loose, so I tightened it. That did nothing.
I finally went to a custom muffler shop to have them look at it. What they found was that when Banks installed the exhaust, they put a twisting torque on the whole system. After 2 years it finally took its toll and pulled the joint appart.
They realigned the pipe and rewelded the bracket on.
Leak fixed. Thanks Banks.............
