I've been using the hypertech III for all but the first 3000 MI. No problems have ever come about. I use the 70hp level at all times, my truck has 57000 MI. on it now.

Using it for a while now. Like it and I run it at 90 hp setting all the time. But do recommend a bigger exhaust and air intake system. See my mods below.

Either part # will work for your truck. #30029 is the latest and greatest and will work on all Duramax diesels, LB7 and LLY. I use the Hypertech PP on stage II. Love it so far. Power is great. And the best part is, I picked it up for $260 new on Ebay!!

I have used Hypertech programmers on gasoline powered Chevy vehicles since 1995 and they have consistently performed as advertised ... when looking for a power enhancement for my '02 Duramax I first leaned towards a Hypertech ... the thing that made me change my mind was the dash controls and the fact that it reprograms the vehicle's onboard computer ... my fear was the truck would become disabled for some reason and I wouldn't be able to reprogram it prior to getting it in the shop ... for that reason alone I went with an Edge Juice and have been well pleased .... I now have a Predator that I am sure would do a good job in power programming my truck but I use it only for its engine diagnostic features for the same reason while I use a Hot Juice to provide a boost to the power of my truck ... once the trucks warranty expires (for my truck that is 7 years 200,000 miles on the injectors) I wouldn't hesitate to use a Hypertech (or Predator) to reprogram my truck but until then, I'd rather use one like the Juice that doesn't change the onboard computer

We have never had a single complaint on the hypertechs that we have out there. That in itself is pretty good sign.

I have a Hypertech that I run on level II. Very happy with it. My truck weighs in at 8600lbs and is very fast. I try to keep my foot out of it though. ):h

I have been running the hypertech on level 3 for about 5 months. It is great. I have had no issues. I also tow a TB 7,500pds on level 3 and I have only hit 1250 mark one time trying to pass someone. I normally drive in OD when towing.

Radvans, what kind of mileage do you get running empty on level III? Is there a big difference in power between level II & III?
