Behind the console just under the climate control is a rattle. Is there an easy way to remove these storage trays to se behind them? Does the whole console need to be taken apart.

Mine has a rattle there too. It only can be heard if no radio or never shut up woman is on in the truck. It is very minor but I like to drive in silence and listen to my Maxxy, along with my own demented thoughts. It drives me nuts, I looked and looked but still cannot locate it.

I was experiencing the same thing (& I like to drive w/the radio off). It was sort of like a rattle and/or plastic creak. I pulled the Bezel to check out what's back there & couldn't isolate it.

FWIW - it turns out the Bezel itself was making the noise (drove around for a bit without the Bezel hoping I'd be able to hear it better - no noise when the Bezel was off).

There's a small bead of silicone around the backsize of the Bezel, I assume, to prevent this creak. All I had to do was add a bit more silicone.

Interesting! Mine sounds like a loose screw or some type of metal. What is the best way to remove the bezel under the climate control to look behind?

I believe I get the same annoying rattle--seems to happen at low speeds in uneven roads--nothing on smooth roads.

Same question here--do you just pull the bezel off?

Thanks

I have that same noise and I think it is coming from under the glove box, might be the return air for the heater... Can't find any other place where I can hear it. I know if I push on the panels under there it stops...

Does it happen when the truck is running?
This is a Diesel. They are quiet but they do have slight rattle like a Dodge.):h

Every truck I have had has a rattle to find at one temp or another (plastic and expansion). Cured al my rattles and creaks with Shania Twain. Thanx Geo.

I think my rattle is exactly what GMC2500HD is describing---and I had it on my other truck.....2000 6.0L Silverado. Same annoying rattle that occurs when the road is just uneven enough...it occurs more after warmup.

I push down hard on the dash above the glove box and it goes away.

IT is driving me nuts..considering I have had it since 2000.
