Has anyone used or have any experience with Tmax winches? (http://www.t-maxwinches.com/winches/winches2.html)

I just found them online and haven't ever heard about them before.

They four wheel drive magazines out of Australia show quite a few ads and trucks using them. Looks like a Warn-style case, controls. I don't know anyone who uses one or what kind of dealer or support network exists for parts and repairs. They are located in Elkhart, IN and are supposed to ship parts, accessories from that location.

Warn has an entry level winch called a Tabor, that used to be the Magnum series. They have a 1-year warranty. They are 12,000 pound winches, whereas the TMax is an 11,000. All the TMax winches do come prewired for the wireless remote and negates the need for an external antenna. I am not sure of the current drawn at various loads, but you may look at that, too.

E-winches.com has (or had) a TMax 11,000 with roller fairlead and free shipping for under $600. For an occaisional use winch, that is pretty good. Good luck on your choice and report back with some pics and reviews.
