I was wondering if I'll have any ill effects towing with 80hp injectors, such as high EGT?I'm going to upgrade my tranny and fuel system in the next 2 weeks, injectors and propane are next on my list.I also plan on keeping my current stack with Edge J/A and Predator.

I tow with 130 HP injectors in my cummins, no problem if I turn all the other power off. should'nt be much different with our DMAXs.

I did not go that far with my injectors, but can say that I still tow with the big VA...

In stock form (nothing but the injectors) I noticed about a 100F increase in egts. It stands to reason since more fuel is being dumped in. When I received the TTS I had to tow with the first setting which is 80hp I believe because there is no stock on my ecm. What a difference! It actualy lowered egts to similar to stock (without the injectors). I'm sure with this setting the turbo is more efficiently burning all the extra fuel. It actually smokes less on the tow setting than it did without the box and just the injectors. And I have a solid 160rwhp (as dynoed) extra between the tow tune and the injectors now. All useable towing power with no higher egts over stock.

john, did you ever get a chance to dyno the big va stacked with the 155powerpup i sent you, just wondering if it made in the 500 for you, as it did for me on #1diesel:ro)

I run about 500 RWHP with the VA itself. Any more fuel, and it tends to fall off. I have the Pup out on loan right now. I do have the PPE Xcelerator which is same anyhow. Haven't been on the dyno much lately. Trying to finish up projects and end of year BS.

I would be very interested in a post after you get your injectors in and running. I've been wondering about the performance that this would give you, but I keep being told that its alot of money for what you get. Talking with friends with Dodges, they simply installed injectors and love the results, and they have not seen much for EGT changes.

Keep us posted as possible...

I tow a 24' RV trailer up to the sand dunes once or twice per year with the Edge Juice on the 145hp level. For heavier loads up to 26K combined I tow on the 60 or 90 hp level with the Edge Juice.
