I started to order timbrens for my front end. I have a heavy plow on it. I noticed that the timbrens come with a load rating of 4500lbs. Is that per side or for both. If so, isn't 4500lbs very little? Given that the GFAWR is only 4800 this is even less then?

Thanks .........

I had timbrens on the rear of my Dodge and they were very stiff. If they work on the front, like they do on the rear, the 4500# is in addition to the stock weight rating. I ended up getting a lower rated Timbren spring b/c the truck would not go to the overloads no matter how much tounge or pin weight I put on it.

Should be posted in suspension, that is why you are not getting results.

They will help, there are other threads on this exact topic, might want to search those out.. Good luck

While I'm not new to plows or suspensions, I'm new to plowing with an IFS truck. I recently put a Boss 9'2" XT on my 2005. I added the Timbrens to hold the front up. Empty it's pretty firm, but I'm not complaining. Come spring I'll swap back the stock cellular stops if I see fit.
