Are you guys running AFE proguard 7 stage 1 or 2 intakes seeing any EGT drop? If so how much. I have the LLY predator on the 65hp tune and since I put the CAT back on I can get my EGTs to 1300 preturbo. So I am looking for some EGT relief without setting code.
Thanks
Lynn

turbo lc,
Most customers are seeing 40-80 degrees EGT drop with the AFE PG7 intakes, combine that with a good exhaust and 200 degrees is possible. Call us if you have any questions etc.

I'm doing a little gambling... I"ve got the Predator 65hp tune, but haven't gotten the exhaust done yet, and haven't put in gauges yet. My theory is that with the 65hp tune, not towing, and not drag racing, my egt's should be in a safe zone... How wrong am I?
Thanks!

D Maximus......you are safe just get those gauges soon though. Don't go any higher and don't tow with it especially.

I saw a 60°f reduction in PEAK EGT when i put on my full exhaust w/o cat. Max reduction was right around 100°f I seriously doubt the intake will account for any measureable drop in EGT. Peak STOCK was about 1360°f...
This is with an extremely fast acting probe, and mapped on the Superflow during a loaded controlled accelleration test...
