I was driving my Isuzu NPR (16000gvw) automatic diesel the other day and while crusing at 60 or so with no load the high trans temp warning light came on. I pulled over and checked the transmission dip stick, the level was fine and the temp of the trans fluid was cool to the touch. I went ahead and drove the rest of the way to town about 30 miles. Shut it down for about 20 minutes; then after restarting the light was not on. Drove 3 miles and it came back on.

I'm going to have the sensor probe and tranny checked. Should I do anthing else in the meantime?
