Where is a good place to buy them?

From a tire shop that sells a 1/2 ton Chevy owner Ford keys for 300 bucks. They should be able to give the old ones to you, the crooks...

They aren't for me, they are for someone with an F-150-sorry about being so vague in my previous post.

I think that they would be clocked the wrong way to work on an F-150. They would lower it. I was being sarcastic about tire shops ripping people off.

Phone: (616) 218-8466, http://www.gmdieseltech.com for $45.
Green keys are for your torsion bars to raise the front end higher then what your stock ones will go.

would anyone suggest these? are they hard to install? I know absolutely nothing about them but just recently I was thinking about cranking on my torsion bars. My ass end sits way up high and my front end is a good bit lower. Not many people think it looks too stinkbugish, but I do. I was thinking of lifting her but I dont want to go too big.

You can do it yourself, I know a few people here have. I had DmaxalliTech do mine. If you have the proper torsion-bar tool, it's actually very easy...or at least Eric certainly made it look that way on my truck! It looks like a glorified C-clamp!

My truck rides stiffer now, but not harsh in any way. ):h

:) :) For anyone that wants more info on green keys....block off a few hours of time, use the search function up at the top of the page to search "green keys", grab a 6-pack (at least) of your favorite beverage, and start readin'!!!!!!:) :)

I'd recommend starting with the older threads, since we've been chewing on this topic ever since the site opened. So much info, so little time....

just crank your torsion bars 4 to 5 turns and it should level it out just fine.

I've got the keys on hand. I also will send along a torsion bar tool to do the job and a return shipping tag. Just pay a deposit on the tool and shipping and your done.

Those are very nice looking pieces. I actually know the people that own that company, I have been to there shop many times, but its been 7-8 years since my last visit. Almost a bit overkill in the respect that your unlikely to keep changing them once they are installed. A bit pricey, but I do like the idea.

Tom, I think the little things help.. Its pricey for me up front to get those tools, I purchased two of them tools at 90 bucks ea to offer a service. I think thats what seperates a place to buy stuff from a good place to buy stuff.

I had the dealer run my VIN number and sure enough it came from the factory with green keys. Any ideas on how I can get 1 1/2 - 2 inches in the front? The dealer suggested putting the torsion bars from the snow plow option in it, does anyone have any experience doing this, will it actually provide that much lift? By the way, any idea what part number refers to these "snow Plow" bars?

Hey, I got some original GM torsion bar keys that are made to level your truck from performancelifts.com. $65 for the set, and genuine GM too. best deal I found, and they are exactly like the stock keys except the torsion bar holes are clocked differently. They leveled my truck within a 1/2" front to back and didn't have to crank the bolts up at all. hope this helps! :ro)

So they are not Green keys right? The green keys I bought from GM are the same as the ones I have in the truck, including the clocking of the hex hole.
