I was checking my engine over and seen a rod on the turbo, i guess its called a wastegate ? anyways theres a vacuum regulator hooked to it and i tried with my hand to move it....it was solid , no way i could move it. Is this normal ? does it move more freely when warmed up or is it seized ?

Last night i drove 150kms home through 1-2 feet of fresh snow on the hwy. My duramax charged through the snow like a bull, i COULDN'T BELIEVE THE POWER. I really love this truck.

Stopped at the grocery store and picked a few things up went out to my truck put it in reverse backed up tried to put it drive and it wouldn't go....the linkage was frooze so wiggled it a few times and it broke free. Anyone else ever have a linkage freezeup ?

It's normal. It takes 20+ psi of air to start to activate the wastegate. The only way to get it to move would be to remove the wastegate hose (the one connected on the right of the wastegate head) and apply compressed air and the wastegate will open and close.

Never had the linkage problem...
