Threw in my new AutoMeter boost guage two or three nights ago, I have yet to see the needle move off the peg. Checked tonight for leaks at the fittings, then checked the entire line from plenum to guage and cant find any leaks....Power seems normal, fuel milage at last tank was 17.4mpg, and whistle sounds beautifully sweet as always....Cant seem to reason that there is no boost pressure.

I tapped into the plenum before the MAP (pic), afterwards Ive looked at old posts and seen that most are tapped near where the upper plenum bolts to the intake....But I would think pressure should be the same throughout the entire plenum, right? So position should not be critical, or am I wrong? Maybe faulty guage (Im hoping)??

Placement is OK ... pressure equalizes throughout a closed system.

Did you tighten the fittings too much? They'll crimp and close off the tubing if they're too tight.

No, just snug...Ive had alot of ill experience with those fittings on my air ride truck...But Ill go snip the ends and reattach to be sure....

EDIT: Just checked, all is clear....

Is your gauge in the side pillar? I have mine there and it got pinched under the pilllar trim. I had to reroute it. Leo

Just settin on the dash, havent even put the pillar trim back on....No pinches, I blew thru the tube with both ends off, and even with my smoker lung I could manage to blow thru it (still recovering from that)...Reckon the needles stuck or something....

Can you make the gauge move by blowing into the tubing?
