Ok, i have an 08 GMC Sierra 3500HD Diesel, anyway ive been goin to this Chevy dealership for almost 13 years, the guy at the svc desk is on vacation so this chick helped me, anyway i said i want an oil change and check for Recalls, since its my 1st oil change in this rig

So she says , we can change the oil but as for Warrenty work and Recalls we cant help you, you have to go to a GMC Dealership for that.....

So i said Chevy and GMC HD's are made in FLINT Michigan, and its the same damn thing other then the badges and other suttle features... ITS THE SAME ANIMAL!!! and so she couldnt help me..

When my friend gets back from vacation im gonna ask him since ive had warrenty work done up to 60k miles even with a 3/36 warrenty , he takes care of me.....

So i want to know if anyone knows this is a fact or is she just lazy?

She's correct you have to go to a GMC dealer....GM's rules...not hers...I hope you didn't take it out on her.

I went to buy a program car from the Chevy dealer but since but the pontiac dealer was a couple blocks down the street and I would have to take it to them until the warrenty ran out so I did not buy the car. They have some strange rules in the company I think

Its called cross line warranty and it is correct it is GM,s rule, and it can be done in a "break down" situation or if it was bought used at that dealer. The dealer CAN do it but can get in trouble during an audit...
