I have a 2003 GMC Sierra, and recently lost acceleration and was towed to Dealer. I was told that the trouble was defective fuel injectors. This took five days because of the Christmas holiday, and just got the truck back this morning, 12-30-04. After about 10 miles the truck started blowing smoke from under the hood, and I took it back to the dealership. I was told there were no leaks and this was normal when working on a Diesel, and I needed to give it time to burn off all the fuel and oil that was spilt on the engine. After driving home from work, I decided to investigate the smoke myself, as it had gotton much worse and discovered the smoke bellewing from a copper like tube coming out of the front passenger side of the block. My question is; Could the dealer have missed this?, Did the mechanic make a mistake?, Could there be internal engine damage form the faulty injectors?, and Is there a possibility, as I have read on the web, that I will always have trouble with this engine now?
