Who makes aftermarket turbos for the LB7 and which would be best for a all around daily driver.

BD
HTT (supposedly is pretty much an upgraded BD charger and it is a wastegated charger which is a plus)
PPE (a few different choices from the GT40 and GT42 series charger)
ATS (A2K up to A6K)
Garrett (too small to be justifiable IMO)
Industrial Injection (don't hear a lot about it on Duramaxes. Lot's of them on Dodges though)

I don't have any first hand experience with those but they are what's available and each has it's pro's and con's.

You can achieve 500 RWHP without a bigger turbo. From what I have read, bigger turbo could mean bigger problems down the road.

built trans, lift pump, efi and a tuner who knows what they are doing and you will be there........even if you do a bigger turbo you need those things first

I second that. You'll be getting a bigger turbo after $6K of necessary mods.

The HTT Promax or PPE GT40 are both good daily driver chargers.

x2, and the Garrett PowerMax charger kit is also a good choice for the mild trucks that want a good reliable charger kit for 500-550+rwhp.
