Last night while driving home I thought I got shot in the back..... Later found out that the manual lumbar doesnt work (2001 GMC SLE). I guess the spring let loose and that is what I felt. Is this an easy fix as I would rather not bring it back to the dealer.

The difficult part is pulling up the seat cover to get at the lumbar support mechanism. There is a J type fastener between the upper and lower cushions along with some velcro and 2 push pins. There is a window crank type clip on the inside holding the arm rest. Once the cover is pulled up you can get behind the cushion to reattach the spring or replace the mechanism. It is a pain to do and you might get some cuts on your hands.
